hurry hurry raya
| -guilty- 9/19/2009 11:59:00 PM |it's that time of the year again. where the setan escape free, and influence people who worked so hard during ramadhan to just ruin it all, in order to celebrate hari raya to the fullest.
kinda sad when u realise that the mesjids wont be as full, donations wont be that much, and people will start fighting again. oh wait, people has always been fighting. just look at PKMS. when UMNO people fight, they use words. when UMNO's singapore branch PKMS fight, they use screwdrivers during ramadhan. how mature.
every hari raya u seem to notice the same old thing repeat over and over. people shedding crocodile tears when bermaaf maafan. why do u cry when saying sorry to one another during hari raya? then it's already obvious u are not sincere in asking for forgiveness, choosing to wait once a year instead of doing it immediately.
and also those matreps & minareps who never puasa, and dont deserve a hari raya becos they didnt bother doing the one thing which gives muslims the right to have a hari raya, will celebrate for one whole month as if they won the world cup finals.
i dont see a need to go jalan raya all the way until late at nite 2am, 3am.
someone wrote a letter and was published in the forum section of berita hairan. saying how he feels ashamed that the muslims in europe of all places, celebrate ramadhan to its fullest. but the community in singapore uses ramadhan to prepare for raya instead. i share his feelings too.
the thing is, so many of us malay/muslims dont understand why we celebrate hari raya, to the point it's so commercialised it almost becomes meaningless.
the celebration actually starts from rejab, syaaban and peaks all thru ramadhan. and it all ends at the first day of syawal.
think of it as it's the world cup, and 1 syawal is the post-match celebrations. malays view it differently.
and why do every hari raya malay TV drama show, the characters always fight each other? and suddenly turn good on the 1st day of syawal? let's see if the PKMS people are like that.
nevertheless, i would like to wish u all selamat hari raya aidilfitri, taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum. to those of u who puasa for one month, u deserve it. to those who couldn't really make it but tried hard, don't worry u did your best. have a hari raya for yourselves. to those quitters who didn't bother to puasa, jangan macam paham!
stay good & don't forget who your God is
